Stamping Supervisor
The Brooking, SD location of Quality Tool, Inc. is doubling in space, equipment, sales and people. With this growth comes the need for Punch Press Set up Operator.
Primary Responsibilities
Direct and supervise stamping personnel to effectively meet or exceed the needs of the customers and the company. Directs and coordinates the work flow of the stamping department for the stamping personnel and 40+ punch presses. Supervise the activities of assigned personnel to achieve optimal throughput while meeting quality standards. Review, release and monitor work orders for the stamping department work centers. Informing management when schedules will not be achieved and taking appropriate action to remedy schedule problems when possible. Maintain good employee relations through effective communications; enforce company work rules, safety, quality, good housekeeping, EEO and employment policies and guidelines.
Critical Job Requirements
The individual must be able to independently manage the stamping department and its people and to personally set up and run single and progressive dies operations. Minimum of 6 years experience setting up progressive dies and 2 years of supervisor or lead experience is mandatory. Must have experience with a variety of enrollers, feeders, and straighteners. Knowledge concerning mechanical principle, machining practices, the properties of metals and the application of mathematics and dimensions to precision machining and stamping.
