Quality Tool acquires high speed fiber optic laser cutting system.
The purchase, installation, and acceptance of this equipment was completed on December 5, 2014. The high speed system includes an Amada FLC 3015AJ 2kw fiber laser work center served by a MP Flex load / un-load shuttle.
This state of the art equipment has been installed at Quality Tool’s St Paul, MN facility and will be utilized on each of that operation’s 3 shifts.
Quality Tool’s President, Chuck Proulx, states that the addition of this technology will increase the company’s capacity, while reducing lead times, eliminating secondary operations, and add to the list of material types that can be effectively cut via laser processing.
Mr. Proulx said “The high speed laser cell increases both capacity and capability. This equipment continues Quality Tool’s position as a technological leader in our industry. Our strong culture of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing is well served by this addition.”
