Quality Tool, Inc. named Rockwell Automation’s 2013 Quality Award winner for Mechanical

The prestigious award was announced during a supplier conference held in Milwaukee, WI on August 27th, 2013.  Recipients of the award are cited for exceptional performance and continuous improvement in product quality.

Quality Tool's President, Chuck Proulx, and Director of Operations, Mike Kabris personally received the award at the annual Rockwell Automation supplier conference.  Proulx was quoted as saying "Rockwell Automation mantains an excellent supply chain.  It is an outstanding accomplishment for Quality Tool to be recognized with this award among our peers."

Quality Tool and Rockwell Automation collaborate on a Supplier Development Program to identify and execute actions aimed at improving quality performance.  This activity was a key driver in the quality advances that lead to this recognition.   Proulx said "Rockwell Automation is an exceptional example of a company that works directly with their supply base on initiatives that benefit both Rockwell and the supplier.  We are indeed fortunate to be counted among their preferred suppliers and appreciative of their efforts in helping us drive continuous improvement within our organization."

Quality Tool has been fulfilling Rockwell Automation's demands for metal stampings, electrical bus bar assemblies, fabricated sheet metal parts, and machined parts since 1999.  The company won a multimillion dollar transfer award of stamped products from Rockwell's Milwaukee, WI factory in 2009, which it installed and operates from its Brookings, South Dakota facility in a dedicated focus factory.

Proulx also sits on Rockwell's "Supplier Council" with a select group of preferred suppliers. The Supplier Council provides Rockwell's Strategic Sourcing Organization with input in supply-chain related matters.
